Jessica Klepser, the estranged wife of actor Christian Oliver and mother of their two daughters, has shared a heartfelt tribute to her family after they were killed in a plane crash on Thursday.
Klepser posted a series of photos on Instagram, showing her husband and their children, 9-year-old Madita and 7-year-old Annik, smiling and enjoying life. She also thanked everyone who has reached out to her and offered their support and condolences.
Oliver, who starred in films such as “Speed Racer,” “The Three Musketeers” and “House of Good and Evil,” was a passenger on a small plane that crashed off the coast of Bequia, an island in the Caribbean. He, his daughters and the pilot of the aircraft were the only occupants of the plane, which was reportedly heading to Barbados for a family vacation.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the local authorities. According to witnesses, the plane appeared to have engine trouble shortly after takeoff and tried to make an emergency landing on the water before sinking.
Oliver, who was born in Germany, moved to Los Angeles in 1996 to pursue his acting career. He met Klepser, a former model and actress, in 2004 and they married in 2007. They filed for divorce in 2021 but remained amicable co-parents. They welcomed their first daughter, Madita, in 2014 and their second daughter, Annik, in 2016.
Oliver’s friends and colleagues have also paid tribute to him and his family on social media, remembering him as a talented, generous and loving person.
