On January 19th, Long Beach residents are in for a treat as they get the chance to step back in time and immerse themselves in the world of the legendary musician David Bowie. The Carpenter Performing Arts Center is set to host the show, ‘Space Oddity: The Quintessential David Bowie Experience’, led by none other than David Brighton, hailed as the world’s best Bowie impersonator.
Brighton and his band will take the audience on a journey through Bowie’s greatest hits, including ‘Changes’, ‘Modern Love’, ‘Heroes’, and more. From his debut in the late 1960s to his final studio album ‘Blackstar’ in 2016, Bowie was known for his commitment to reinvention, both personally and artistically. His passion for performance art was evident in his ever-evolving personas, from Ziggy Stardust to Jareth the Goblin King in Jim Henson’s ‘Labyrinth’.
‘Space Oddity’ aims to capture this passion and electrify Long Beach with it on Friday night. Tickets for this unforgettable concert are priced at $55 each, and the show kicks off at 8 p.m. So, get ready to experience the magic of Bowie’s music and performance art like never before. This is a night you won’t want to miss!
